Grassgrubs aren’t the usual fodder of prime time television but that’s exactly what we achieved for Ballance when it launched a new biological pesticide product. Through a carefully planned media programme, Network PR landed an exclusive story on TV One’s 6pm news.
The achievement was even more remarkable when you consider that the scientific breakthrough represented by Ballance’s bioshield grassgrub product had already been announced and covered widely by the media.
The story visually demonstrated the product and included interviews with Ballance CEO Larry Bilodeau and Head of Agri-Sciences Warwick Catto. The audience reach on the night was approximately one million people and other media followed up on the story in subsequent days through tailored statements and careful pitching of stories by Network PR. Ballance was covered in a total of four television news stories over the following five days and received extensive rural print and radio coverage. |
